Best Hotel In Solvang For Your Wine Tasting Getaways

Anyone in or near Los Angeles will tell you, Santa Ynez IS the wine region of choice if you live in Southern California. I mean, who needs Napa or Sonoma when we have the next best thing. And it’s so close! My wife and I decided to go there on a whim this past weekend. I called a couple wineries to set up 2 wine tasting events, made a reservation in the best hotel in Solvang, and off we went! We were both ready for a little post holiday fix ;)

You’ll find plenty of wineries that offer wine tastings. In fact, they all do and for the most part, they provide an amazing experience, especially the ones that welcome you in or near the actual winery or even better, their vineyards. But where do you stay?

Our Hotel Recommendation In Solvang

Corque Hotel – Hotel Sign Shadow

So we spent the last weekend in Solvang and we stayed at the Corque Hotel. This was our second time staying there and I have to say, they don’t disappoint… it’s 2 for 2, my friend. I have so many good things to say about the hotel and everyone working there, I don’t know where to start!

It’s everything you hope for and more. The overall style walks a fine line between old world charm and modern sophistication. The rooms of this fully remodeled hotel are fairly priced. We stayed in the “wine country suite” which I recommend wholeheartedly. There’s plenty of space and the bathroom is like having your own personal spa.

The hotel never ceases to amaze and surprise their guests. What I’m about to say may seem like a no-big-deal to most people but my wife and I were really impressed. Someone in the staff changes the mats in both elevators 3 times a day! Yes, there’s a morning mat that says “Good Morning”, an afternoon mat that says “Good Afternoon”, and an evening mat that says… You guessed it, “Good Evening”. It can come across a little foolish and trivial but this is the attention to detail that my wife and I really pay attention to, because it reflects greatly on the rest of the hotel’s personality and mindset.

99.9% Recycling Score!

Additionally, they don’t promote it but they actually sort through every ounce of the hotel’s waste and have a 99.9% recycling rate. In other words, everything that can be recycled gets recycled by the hotel staff personally, and they get to keep the money made from recycling plastic bottles and aluminum cans. So when you book a room in the best hotel in Solvang, you also invest in a way of life, a very special conduct, driven by the utter desire to do good things for the people and for the planet.

Corque Hotel – Table With Wine Bottle

From its central coast chic design to the welcoming hotel staff, the hotel forces you to embrace the natural, vibrant beauty of the surrounding valley and its countless wineries.

And speaking of wineries…

The Corque Hotel will reward you with complementary wine tastings for 2 at the following wineries:

Corque Hotel – Wine Tastings

… As well as 2 for 1 tastings at other wineries, such as Carr, Coquelicot, Rideau, and Sunstone to mention a few. So there you have it, Corque Hotel IS the best hotel in Solvang for your wine tasting getaways. Yes, I suppose that is highly subjective but you know what’s not subjective? Free wine tastings! My wife and I love Gainey, Rideau, and Sunstone for their natural beauty and the fact that you get to taste the wine in the middle of the vineyards. That’s pretty special. Best getaway you will ever invest in ;)

Cheers!

YAY! I am glad you enjoyed Hotel Corque!
We stayed the for 3 nights in Sept 2022 while we searched the area for Animal Wines.
BUT! None of us noticed the 3 x per day changeout of the mats in the elevators!
    Maybe we’d been drinking????

When wine traveling with my brother Royboy we start doing tastings as soon as the tasting rooms open, usually about 11 am.
I know about spit buckets, have seen my brother and many others use them, but I just can’t bear to spit out tasty wine.
Add that to my bro only goes to wineries with good wine…
