The Problem: Hangover – The Solution: ZBiotics

Steve Jacobson & ZBioticsAccording to their website“Genetically engineered by a team of PhD microbiologists, ZBiotics® is a probiotic drink that breaks down the byproduct of alcohol responsible for rough mornings after drinking.”

Perhaps you may be hesitant or suspicious about this. But I can assure you from a firsthand account, this stuff works. Now, please don’t get the wrong impression. I don’t drink to excess and then slug this down to get out of not very smart decisions. In fact, it’s a good idea to plan ahead a little bit with this stuff. Another quote from their website – “Your first drink of the night for a better tomorrow.” What does that really mean? Read on…

How To Use This Stuff

If I know I am going to have more than a couple of glasses of wine in an evening… Or even I might have wine and then switch to a single malt scotch or nice tequila… My first drink of the evening is a bottle of ZBiotics.

As you can see from the image, it comes in a nice little glass container with about an ounce of liquid. Open the cap and knock it back. The taste is very subtle, not bitter, or sweet or salty. So, what happens after that? I’m glad you asked that question.

How Does It Work?

Alcoholic beverages – albeit wine, beer, spirits, etc – have a toxic byproduct from the alcohol called acetaldehyde. It builds up in your gut, and that is the main reason why you are not your chipper self the morning after drinking. Your body doesn’t break down this compound very well on its own. And no matter what you’ve heard, all the water (or coffee) in the world isn’t going to help you too much.

Enter ZBiotics. These little bacteria help your body break down the acetaldehyde. They have been engineered to produce enzymes that are similar to what is found in your liver, and the key function occurs in your gut. The result is that the acetaldehyde is broken down more efficiently, which precludes you from having a rough day, ergo beating hangovers ;)

Are There Any Side Effects?

During the many tests conducted by the company, ZBiotics’ scientists identified no side effects. That being said, with all probiotics, there can be mild gastrointestinal discomforts such as bloating, gas and diarrhea. Those symptoms can happen to those with gut sensitivities. Personally, I have not experienced any of those side effects.

Furthermore, you may have a concern about genetic engineering – as it pertains to GMO foods. But generic engineering has also provided lifesaving medicines and other production methods that are not harmful to the planet or people. And in this case, it provides for a great solution.

ZBiotics last about 18 hours in your system. Though it may be a miraculous remedy for beating hangovers, you should make sure to use this the way it was intended. If you want to get overly carried away, I’m not sure what will help other than drying out for a few days. However, if you have an evening where you know you’re going to enjoy yourself with a few glasses of wine, and maybe some spirits at the end of the night, then start out with ZBiotics. It will most definitely make a difference.

Cheers.
